Come to our events at amda masjid!
Assalam walaikum,
We hope your Ramadan 2019 has been full of accomplishments and improving your connection to Islam! Charity is a very important part of Islam and it’s essential to establish a sense of charitability in our youth. So AMDA has decided to host a program to help children feel like they are supporting their community with their own work!
The Charity Islamic Art Program will run through Friday, May 31st to Sunday, June 2nd. We are asking children to create art that is inspired from their heart and reminds them of Islam. These art pieces can include: calligraphy, hand drawn image, physical art piece, a painting, graphically designed drawing, and any other forms of art, as long as it relates to Islamic beliefs. The art will be displayed during iftar and bids can be placed by anybody. After prayer, the pieces will be officially paid for and available for pick up. We ask that all the art is original and also includes a title for the piece. All of the money that is made will be donated.
This program is meant to teach our youth about the importance of charity in Islam. It will help make children feel the real impact of their actions and make them feel like a true contributor to the community. We are looking forward to seeing some amazing art pieces!
If your child is having trouble finding inspiration, think of things that you love about Islam such as, your favorite Quran verses, Islamic symbols, or community events (Eid, iftars at the mosque, etc.)
Thank you,
AMDA Youth
